Pearson Airport to downtown Toronto: UP Express or TTC?
Choose the airport train or the bus-and-subway route by your actual destination, budget and luggage, with clear steps from both Pearson terminals.
For a straightforward trip from Pearson Airport to Union Station, choose UP Express. For a lower fare and a destination that works well with the subway, compare the TTC 900 Airport Express bus to Kipling Station, followed by Line 2. Neither option takes you automatically to your hotel door: the best choice depends on the address at the end of the journey.
At the time of review, an adult Pearson–Union trip costs $9.25 when paid with an eligible PRESTO or contactless tap, compared with $12.35 for a standard UP ticket. The adult TTC tap fare is $3.30. All amounts here are Canadian dollars. Those prices make the TTC attractive when cost matters most, while the train removes a bus-to-subway change. Use the steps below to make that trade-off deliberately rather than following the first transit sign you see.
