Sources you can follow

We use venue operators, public agencies and other relevant sources to check locations, opening hours, transport details and facilities. Guides include links to the information behind them, so you can check the details that matter to your visit.

Bylines and dates

Articles identify their author and show when their sources were checked. Review dates reflect a check of the information; they stay in place until the relevant details are reviewed again.

Prices, opening hours, construction and seasonal services can change. For a booking or time-sensitive trip, confirm the details with the linked operator.

City updates and live information

City news briefs identify the original announcement and its date. We distinguish announced plans from completed changes and link to the full source.

Weather and road information come from official public feeds. Observation times, forecast issue times and retrieval times are shown separately. Delayed information is marked, and road records include work dates and schedules.

Practical recommendations

Our guides explain the choices behind a plan: time, distance, cost, interests and how much walking you want to do. Route suggestions and time allowances help you shape an outing that suits your day.

Images and credits

Photographs carry source and licence credits, with archival dates where relevant. Editorial illustrations support selected planning sections and the site design. Full credits are collected on the image credits page.
