How to read this Toronto forecast

The large temperature is an observation, while the hourly and day/night sections are forecasts. Their timestamps are different because a forecast describes what may happen after it was issued. The hourly table only shows hours that are still ahead.

Does precipitation mean rain?

Precipitation can include rain, snow or other forms, depending on the conditions. The percentage is a forecast chance, not an amount or a guarantee. Read the condition text and the official forecast together.

Is this a downtown Toronto measurement?

The observation is labelled with its reporting station, currently Toronto Pearson International Airport. It should not be read as a measurement outside your door. Use it alongside the Toronto forecast and official warnings when planning a trip.

What happens if the weather feed stops updating?

We retain the latest available information with its original times, mark delayed observations and remove current readings when they are too old. An unavailable warning feed is never treated as confirmation that there are no warnings.
