One day in Toronto: a first-visit route with room to pause

Start with food and Old Town streets, choose one major attraction for the afternoon, then finish by the harbour. This downtown day leaves space for meals, queues and changing weather.

For one first sightseeing day in Toronto, combine St. Lawrence Market and nearby Old Town streets with a CN Tower visit, then finish at Harbourfront Centre. That gives you food, a compact part of the older downtown, a broad city view and time beside the harbour. Book only the attraction that matters to you and keep the final walk flexible.

This route starts around Union Station and stays within the downtown core. It is a useful introduction, not a claim to show every side of Toronto in a day. The market, Old Town and harbour can still make a satisfying day if you decide the tower is outside your budget or not worth committing to in the weather.
